Baseball Australia’s new strategy of forming partnerships with easily-measurable outcomes has seen its lower-level partner, specialist travel company Sportslink Travel, significantly increase its backing for the sport, according to CEO Cam Vale.

As part of the new deal, Vale told Sponsorship News that Baseball Australia would help Sportslink Travel develop tailored fan tours to countries such as the United States, Japan and South Korea. In addition, the agency will provide travel services directly to the sporting body as well as the Australian Baseball League.

He pointed to the expansion as a significant commitment with the promise of a strong return on investment.

The new deal follows Baseball Australia’s recent decision to value the naming rights to the Australian Baseball League directly on the broadcast and digital reach it actually achieves.

Sportlink Travel will be known as a major partner of Baseball Australia and the Australia Little League.

Vale told Sponsorship News that BA will be announcing another major renewal later this week as well as an inaugural partnership with a fitness and leisure facilities provider within the next fortnight.
