The Perth Glory A-League club has signed Bendigo North Perth Community Bank and Bendigo Bank on the back of a relationship it has with the new sponsor’s chairman, according to Nic Barbato, chief commercial officer.

Barbato said that after identifying a sponsorship roster vacancy for a bank, the club approached Bendigo North Perth Community Bank chairman, Nick Catania, and discussions quickly realised a deal.

Catania’s history with the club  included assisting in the redevelopment of the Glory’s home at HBF Park (then-Perth Oval). This coincided with his time as mayor of the Town of Vincent.

“Not only do we have history, but Nick Catania is also a big supporter of grassroots sport in Western Australia and was impressed what the club does in the grassroots space”, Barbato said.

The sponsorship agreement will see Bendigo North Perth Community Bank and Bendigo Bank signage installed at HBF Park. Both organisations will also leverage the deal through a series of pre-game activations.  A Glory In Business membership is included with the second-tier sponsorship deal.
