Following its acquisition by global technology investor Silver Lake, TEG will step up its global expansion plans and the UK will be a major focus, TEG CEO Geoff Jones said today.

Jones told a media briefing that management had “global visions” for the company, and its growing Asian business as well as its nascent UK operations, would be the “next step” for growth.

He said the “TEG integrated” model of business which integrates content, touring, ticketing, venue management, sponsorship and digital and data analytics had proven successful and this should carry over into new global markets.

Since TEG’s acquisition of the MJR touring business in the UK earlier this year, Jones said a number of other potential acquisition targets had approached TEG for discussions.

Asked about potential synergies between TEG's operations and other companies in the Silver Lake portfolio (the group also owns Madison Square Garden, the UFC, and major US-based stadium manager, Oak View Group) Jones said: "They operate as their own entities and we'll just become another portfolio company of Silver Lake. But there's certainly some great brands that are in the Silver Lake portfolio and I'm sure they're brands we'll get to know better."
