Mining giant South32 has become the naming rights sponsor of the Rottnest Channel Swim for the next three years. 

The deal starts in 2020 and sees South32 win naming rights to an event involving hundreds of participants from all over the world. They swim the 19. 7km between Cottesloe and Rottnest Island in Western Australia.

The 2020 edition will be held on Saturday 22 February and the deal is with the Rottnest Channel Swim Association which celebrates its 30th event in 2020.

 

City of Newcastle renew Jets W-League deal

The Newcastle Jets has renewed with the City of Newcastle as a major sponsor of its W-League squad and the ‘Newcastle – See Change’ tourism logo will continue on the back of the team’s home and away jerseys.

It is the third consecutive year for the deal and will see the W-League team continue to play some matches at Newcastle’s inner-city No.2 Sportsground. The venue will also be its training base.

Newcastle Lord Mayor, Nuatali Nelmes said that through their work on and off the field, the Newcastle Jets W-League players are role models and ambassadors for the city.
