The Melbourne Victory A-League club has renewed the Victorian Government's Transport Accident Commission (TAC) as a major sponsor and released a new television commercial supporting the organisation’s latest road safety campaign.

TAC has supported the club since its inaugural season and the new deal will see the partnership extended by three years.

The sponsorship is a key part of the TAC’s ‘Towards Zero’ campaign to reduce fatalities and serious injury on Victoria’s roads.

The campaign includes a new TV commercial featuring Victory players encouraging people to think safety first when buying their next car.

TAC will also become a match day sponsor for three Victory home games where it will heavily promote the Towards Zero campaign.  At all three matches, goalkeeper Lawrence Thomas will wear the number ‘0’ to symbolise the two organisation’s commitment to achieving zero road deaths.

The TAC renewal continues a strong run of sponsorship success for the club including extension deals with Victoria University and TCL.
