Leading live-entertainment and ticketing company TEG has been acquired by Silicon Valley technology investment company, Silver Lake.
TEG CEO, Geoff Jones, said that Silver Lake brings deep technology knowledge to the company. Additionally, its global entertainment content and live events expertise will help accelerate growth at TEG.
Silver Lake managing director, Stephen Evans said TEG’s innovative and integrated ticketing, content, digital marketing and analytics platform will continue to benefit from increasing consumer demand worldwide.
“High quality live sports and entertainment content is more sought after now than ever and represents a massive global addressable market for the company”, Evans said.
TEG’s senior management team will continue to lead the operation and become equity partners in the new ownership structure.
