V8 Supercars outfit Tekno Autosport and the Australian Rally Championship have both signed deals with brands that previously sponsored them.

Tekno's major backer, Australian Tony Quinn, who owns the VIP Petfoods business, opted to replace that brand on Tekno's livery with some of the products of his most recently acquired business Darrell Lea confectionary.

Tekno will compete in the 2015 season featuring Darrell Lea's confectionary brand 'STIX'. Quinn acquired Darrell Lea for $25 million in 2012.

It is the second time Quinn has used Tekno as a marketing vehicle for Darrell Lee. In the 2013 Supercars season Tekno's second entry featured Darrell Lee colours, before the team pulled back to a single car last season.

The STIX car will share naming rights with long-term sponsor Lucas Oil, and be piloted by Shane van Gisbergen, who finished runner-up in last season's drivers' championship.

In other motorsport news, car-care firm Armored Autogroup will partner with the Australian Rally Championship through two of its brands.

Long-term Supercars and V8 Utes sponsor ARMOR ALL and oil brand STP will share the naming rights to the ARC's 'Power Stage' program in 2015.

The Power Stage is a curtain-opening sprint which runs in the lead-up to each of the ARC's five stages. Armor All held naming rights to the event last season.

Both brands will also have category sponsorship with the ARC.
